It is early Spring in this part of the world, and the last few weeks have been rainy and dreary, yet one is filled to the brim with the promise of the coming warmth and color. The worsening ideological and economic conflict in the world has also entered Spring, filling the mind at its source with uncertainty and a persistent sense of dread. The only consolation lies in considering that a time of great crisis can also be the crucible out of which a radical transformation of the human psyche may emerge. May the darkness intrinsic to everything that keeps us culturally and psychologically divided and at odds with each other succumb to the light of the life we all share in exact, equal measure.
The images in this collection surely reflect my state of mind and heart as all of us, together and apart, navigate this harrowing transit. Click on the first thumbnail to see the photos full size, and drop me a note if you’d like a print or two.
