Portrait II What Are You Separate From? Lying
on the stone slab next to the creek, I feel the hardness of the rock,
the coolness of the air. My hat over my face, I try to block out the world
with a rest. The water rushing beside me has its own movement and the
great sound it creates moves over me, around me, through me. The ear is
only a tool. Sound continues when the body has moved on.
